This song popped up on my feed. I hadn’t heard this song in almost 9 years, when I was a single first time mother-to-be living on my own an hour away from my friends and family. It was a very difficult and dark time in my life full of uncertainty. I will never forget the moment I first heard this song, a wave of sadness, calm, peace, and hope washed over me. This song will always have a special place in my heart. Now that I’ve come across this song nearly a decade later, a different person from who I was then, I will share this song with my daughter who I was pregnant with at the time this song came out. Thank you.

This was my favorite song from 2015. I was just 14 y.o. back then, and I thought that this would tell my story. Not until now where I am in 2024, watching it again as an expecting mother. 9 years have passed, and I can now say that this is a story/song I can really relate to for it actually narrate my life. Like... I am starting to think that this song knew my life so well before it turned out like this.
